ISPPME Celebrates 4th Graduation Ceremony, Urges Graduates to Drive Impact and Innovation
The Institute of Sustainable Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (ISPPME) hosted its 4th graduation ceremony in Gweru on 01 August 2026, celebrating the achievements of 96 outstanding graduates. The graduating cohort comprised 20 certificate, 20 diploma, and 56 postgraduate students—with a notable representation of 62 females and 34 males from across Zimbabwe, the continent, and the globe.
Delivering the keynote address, ISPPME Principal Lydia Magutsa called on the new alumni to embrace innovation, uphold integrity, engage in continuous learning, and lead as champions of accountability and evidence-based decision-making.

Guest of Honour Upenyu Dube—a seasoned Zimbabwean industrial technologist and business strategist—commended the Institute’s remarkable growth since its founding in 2019 with just five students. Reflecting on ISPPME’s journey, Dube highlighted that success belongs to those who persist and that small, consistent steps lead to extraordinary achievements.
Board Chairperson Munyaradzi Zhou reminded the graduates that the competencies they developed in sustainable project management, monitoring, and evaluation are powerful tools for driving real-world transformation across the public sector, NGOs, private enterprises, health, education, and humanitarian efforts.
